Оно, конечно, незачем вешать в дайрике все, что понравилось на тумбе. Но особо ценные штуки обязательно надо утаскивать к себе, причем желательно в нескольких экземплярах, и еще на флешке сохранять, чтобы потом не было мучительно больно.

Makoto: It’s a picuture of us when we were in primary school.
Rei: It’s a… photo of you measuring your heights?
Makoto: Yeah. This was taken when Rin was just transferred to our school, and they were both really worked up about it.
Haruka: I wasn’t.
Makoto: Hehe.
Nagisa: Mako-chan totally kept his cool~ well, I guess Mako-chan was already the tallest back then.
Rei: I can undestand though. When the height difference is that slight, it really does stir the competitive spirit all the more!
Rin appears.
Rin: How long are you guys gonna chit chat for?
Nagisa: Rin-chan, come see this!

Nagisa passes the photo to Rin.
Rin: A picture of us in primary school, huh.
Nagisa: Yeah. You were really worked up, right? That’s what Mako-chan told us~

Rei: Haruka-senpai said the exact same thing, too.

Makoto: What’s the big deal? It’s just leg hair.

Rin: The promise we made way back when at the swimming club.
Haru: (long pause) I don’t recall.
Rin: Uh huh? well, whatever: I still remember it. It was…
Haru: I don’t want to hear this.
Rin: Back then…
Haru: Not another word.
Rin: You and I…
Haru: Rin – mmfmfmfmm! (Rin covers his mouth)
Rin: …compared our heights, each inching past the other and being passed again, over and over, but in the end, we weren’t able to settle things, so we decided that when we reunited in the future, the taller one would be the winner. Then, that winner would run 100 meters carrying the other princess-style in their arms.
Haru: Want me to wipe that memory from your mind?
Rin: Oi, cut it out! Don’t strangle me using my goggle strap!
Haru: What… are you planning to do to me?
Rin: You’re seriously asking that after trying to strangle me? Geez… hmm, let’s see now… We’re both men here, so we’ve gotta see our promises upheld, after all…

Rin: I’m at 177 cm now. What about you?
Haru: 17 (in a small voice, after a long pause) 5.
Rin: (satisfied, full-faced grin) So I win!
Haru: Wait, I’ll grow another 3 cm by tomorrow!
Rin: The hell you will! But I guess this isn’t so bad–you just have to get carried around. I’m the one who’s gonna have to run 100 meters with a full-grown man in his arms, you know? I’ve got it way rougher.
Haru: Then I’ll switch with you.
Rin: [in English] No thank you.
Haru: !!
Rin: All right! As soon as you’re done changing, we’re going for a lap!
Haru: (worried) You’re… seriously going to do this?
Rin: I sure as hell am!
Haru: (swallows thickly)
Rin: Did you just steel yourself?
Haru: (after a long pause) I have one request.
Rin: Now that’s just bad manners – what is it?
Haru: At least… let me stay in my swimsuit…
Rin: (a shock runs through him) !! (serious) Haru… you realize you’re just making it harder for you? Do you understand what you’re saying?
Haru: (calmly) I do…
Rin: !! Is that so… Tsk, then I guess I’ve gotta up my game too!
Haru: Eh?
Rin: I’ll do this in my swimsuit too!
Haru: Rin!
The two furiously strip off their clothes.
Haru & Rin: (huffing and puffing)
Rin: C’mere, Haru!
Haru: Right!
Nagisa, Rei, and Makoto watch this scene from afar.
Nagisa: Hey… what d’you think those two are doing?
Rei: (whisper) Sshh! You mustn’t look, Nagisa-kun! They just aren’t right in the head!

Nagisa: Rin-chan’s hands were trembling!
Rei: Hardly surprising; that was 63 kilograms he was carrying…
Makoto: (narrating) And so, we greeted the pair with raucous applause when they returned from their run, looking somehow quite satisfied with themselves…
